The Environment And Fitness

February 8, 2007

Our immediate environment is where we live, our workplace, in factories or offices. Environment is in other words everywhere around us. These surroundings all have an effect on us as human beings. It is hard to believe that the environment has an influence on one’s fitness.

The population growth of the world is the greatest contribution to our sky scraper existence. Blocks of flats or townhouses in cities take up a lot of the open space which human beings need for free movement. Humans are all clustered up with nowhere to enjoy themselves in nature.

As a result of this clustered way of living, one is often eEnvironment and Fitnessxposed to irritable sounds and even noise which makes it impossible to relax quietly. Excessive noise can have a negative influence. Think about a workplace like a factory with big machines humming all day long, which at the end can work negatively on the nerve system.

An environment with trees which give sufficient oxygen, enough space for jogging or parks to stroll or relaxing on a bench is ideal to promote a good balanced lifestyle. These should compensate for stress resulted by factors such as noise at work or an overcrowded shopping center.
