Mental Health

The human brain grows from birth and demands stimulation. One may compare it to sponge absorbing water. The more you wet it, the more absorbent it becomes. Stimulating the brain is like this sponge. The right information feeds the brain and expands its capacity to a fairly old age.
As physical exercise is important to the body, mental exercises are needed for mental health. Poor information, like junk food for the body, can destroy rather than improve you mentally. Reading is a good example. When a person reads a lot, but also reads good stuff, it is stimulating the brain.
Teaching children good eating habits from a young age will ensure that they maintain it later on. The same goes for mental health. Children should start early in their lives to gather the correct information. Except for compulsory schooling they must also be taught to distinguish between good and bad information.
Experiences can have a life long impact on a person. Positive stimulation after a bad experience can help the person to recover soon where negative or no stimulation can result the opposite. Much can be said on mental health, but stimulation is still the most important of it all.
